There's a new show in town, and it's selling out night after night to rave reviews.
Introducing The Magician at The NoMad starring Dan White, whose credits include consulting and producing for David Blaine, creating illusions for David Copperfield, and appearing in several television specials of his own. Dan recently performed on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and the Today Show to promote the show.
The Magician is produced in collaboration with Theory 11, and I recently joined the small team that works on the show. It has been hugely inspirational and an absolute pleasure to work alongside Dan, Theory 11 and the NoMad staff. Without exception, everyone plays a vital role in making sure the show is a success, at every performance.
The atmosphere and audience reactions are incredible night after night, and the show feels fresh and modern with a definite nod to the past. The show is immersive, exclusive and intimate all at once, thanks in part to The NoMad's Johnston Room, which holds just shy of 80 audience members. A cocktail menu by Leo Robitscheck and sweet/savoury courses of popcorn by Daniel Humm accompany the show beautifully.
In my first weekend our special guests included Aziz Ansari (who LOVES magic) and the inimitable Questlove! Come down and see what all the fuss is about yourself!
Shows are 8:30pm Fridays and 6:30pm/9:30pm Saturdays.
Tickets sell out fast and are available a month in advance.
